Doing Things Differently:
Zohran for NYC
Event Activations | Signage
When you’re mounting an insurgent political campaign, you do things a little differently.
And when that campaign is powered by a badass team of organizers used to doing a lot with very little, you get DIY with it.
During the 2025 NYC mayoral election, I helped the Mamdani campaign put on three DIY events for volunteers and supporters. At each event, we planned and activated multiple stations where attendees could participate in the process of making their own custom t-shirts, totes, zines, buttons, and more.
Below are some photos from the events, as well as the signage created to demarcate each station.
